The warrors got slaughtered, 50 something to 3, I'm sure someone will confirm the true score later.

Well done 'boys'

Thank you to all that turned up yesterday, It was a great game and the score line does not reflect on how good the warriors are.

There is another game on the 30th october at the PUMAS home ground of Alsancak, this will also be kicking of at 2pm.

The Final score was 3-54 to the PUMAS

Thanks again

The Warriors certainly played with a lot of spirit, but it seemed that yesterday was probably the first competitive game that most of them had ever played ... and very often with inexperience you get the resulting injuries ... and the resulting infringements ... the Warriors' often dangerous high-tackling was because many of them didn't know any better ... and the ref was generous for not penalising them more often for being offside.

But, the only way to get competitive experience is to play matches ... and so hopefully those university students will stay around in Cyprus for a couple more years ... and who knows, maybe in year's time, they might then be able to give the Pumas a more serious run for their money.

In any case, it was certainly enjoyable to watch ... so thanks to all involved.

Thank you Pumas for a tough game played in good spirit, this game yesterday was extremely important to us. It created a platform for us to work from and gave each Warrior on the park the opportunity for self critique and a better understanding of the game .We are immensely proud of our squad and the endeavour they displayed. Whilst the score margin may tend to suggest that things were very much one sided, nothing, however, could be further from the truth. The Pumas had to fight very hard to establish that margin. The Warriors played with grit and determination but lacked the experience to retain ball in hand and play in a coordinated manner linking the scrummaging and backs under pressure. That will change as we continue on our learning curve this season. Pumas man of the match Can Ozuruk well deserved that title as did Warrior Onur Kayran. The three injured Warriors taken to hospital were later released but doubts hang over them being fit to play in the forthcoming game on the 30th.
