Strange choice for a 'disaster' scenario as I honestly can't remember hearing any trams in the vicinity of the Street, let alone mention of anyone catching a tram to go anywhere. Taxis & buses, yes....... Any other Corrie fans aware of a regular tram service in the area of the Street? Maybe its just me.

A tram used to go across the bridge at the end of the street at the beginning of every episode in recent years. There's lots of trams in Grtr Manchester...so quite right there's on in Wetherfield!

I think that the producers ought to have had a referendum and given the loyal viewers a chance to kill off their least favourite characters......who would you choose to go to the great tram station in the Sky? I'll tell you mine if you'll tell me yours......

The Metro rail system in Manchester is always referred to as "The Tram" by the locals.

Msges. 4 & 7 - Thanks for your input and putting me straight! Come to think of it I do just remember that bridge and a train (?) trundling across it. Msge. 6 - Least favourite characters are Rosie Webster & the Peacocks (Ashley & Clare). Such a shame the writers/producers have turned them into caricatures and whiners. So then - your turn! Tell us yours!

Matula (msge.7) We watched the opening credits very closely last night and could just make out the old bridge in the misty background and a train (no tram!) . Seems likely then that it'll be a train carriage that derails and topples over into the Street. Hey-ho !

Don't watch it much any more. Top of my list to go: The entire Webster family - can't wait to see the back of "Rawsie" in particular, and have seen a little too much of her recently. The Peacock family - Ashley's voice drives me mad. Dev - agree with Swyflot on him Gail, Nick and David Platt - Gail (the whinging Chinless Wonder), Nick ("heart-throb" the casting director should have gone to Specsavers on that one) and David (666 stamped in his hair somewhere, surely)

Hopefully it will be a major disaster and and the whole place gets wiped out. Do a rebuild with 'real' actors(s) in it. the train may then hit the east of london and wipe that one out as well.

Coronation Stree used to have some good actors years ago. There are only a few of them left. Sadly, the best one (in my opinion) is definitely leaving (I assume due to the tram/train disaster) and that is Bill Tarmey (Jack Duckworth). It has not been the same since "our Vera" passed away. They were a great double act. Eastenders is a bloody sight worse - too many youngsters and too many totally unbelievable story lines, e.g. Phil Mitchell was a crack addict a couple of weeks ago. He's as fit as a fiddle now - amazing
