Thank you for your enquiry. As you travel from Lapta to Girne we are located on the left hand side just before you join the new bypass. Next to the Karaoglanoglu Museum.

Thank you for your enquiry. There will be music during the meal and dancing afterwards until midnight. We will expect guests to arrive at around 7.30 pm for a Welcome Drink. It is anticipated that the food will be served at 8.00 pm.

Why is the Xmas dinner so late, we had hoped to come and stay Xmas Eve til Boxing Day but with us having to wait until 8.00pm for our dinner will have to think again. Xmas dinner at say 2.30 - 3.00pm would be much better.

Re ; msg 13 - "msg10--lunch=midday meal, msg11--dinner=evening meal "

Hi Matula,

In most dictionaries, that is what's written. However, such things are not so black and white - Most British people (myself included) often think of "dinner" as the main meal of the day. And this goes back to the second world war, when because of rationing, the children could only be ensured a filling and nourishing meal at school. This, by the way, is why we refer to the midday meal at school as being "school dinner" and the women working in the kitchen as being "dinner ladies".

So, often when we have our main meal in the middle of the day, as on Sundays and Christmas Day, people quite naturally refer to it as "dinner" ... and they are not wrong to do so.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinner

And, like Batgirl, Pugwash and Hattikins, we would also like to have our Christmas *dinner* earlier in the day. Maybe we'll go to the Otel Sempati ...

We spoke to staff at Ada Hotel about the time of the Christmas * Dinner* and were told that time had been set for the benefit of guests who are staying over the Christmas period. I just wonder what people are going to eat between breakfast and 8pm !

Such a shame as the hotel is really attractive and it would have been an ideal place to celebrate Christmas.

What you say is true Crumpy--I grew up in the 40s and 50s (not that I ever had school dinners) but when we emigrated to South Africa we were re-educated to having lunch at midday and dinner in the evening. Much more civilised!

We have lots of enquiries too, but the general opinion is that dinner is too late, so we are trying to talk to the hotel and see if it can be earlier say around 5pm.

Just my opinion but 3pm seems about the right time for Christmas dinner, then back home, log fire, couple of bottles of good wine in the company of friends, wonderful.

Hi, having spoken to a representative with the Ada hotel, they are looking into changing the time for the meal to 5pm. There is various forms entertainment throughout the day and a fun quiz around 3pm and then after the meal, music and dancing with Pete.

Full advert will be in paper very soon

thanks

Don't think fish is vegetarian. Re a veg casserole? dont think that will go down well

There are plenty of 'veggies' here and ifyou cater for them all - main standard meal will suffer - IMHO

Maybe needs re thought?
