| can any one tell me where i stand with a british plated car and trnc tax travelling through Turkey and europe please? This should be an interesting one!!!! I take it TRNC insurance is not valid in Turkey?? |

| Best thing to do is to get a green card insurance when you arrive in Turkey to cover yourself for the rest of the journey.As for the road tax............. |

| yeh the road tax is the interesting bit even when you pay 1200tl for six months, tax office! bless them!!!! do you think they would give me a refund for months not used? I doubt it knowing this place!!! |

| you wont get a refund but you can freeze it by sorning it if on local plates .However,for foreign(uk) cars I myself always advice people to make sure they have valid road tax before leaving uk since they are valid here for visitors.So,little re-search would have saved you alot of money.Saying that I also made the same mistake. |
