Puppylover are you permanantely in NC and if so how long roughly would you expect 3 tons to last?

Just trying to get an idea of fuel costs etc.

was that mixed logs or all olive - we tend to use 4 ton of olive over the winter but our fire does have a back bolier which heats two rads.

Turbo, it is "mostly" but have no worry. If you do not manage the olive trees they will become wild so every three to five years you need to have your enemy prune your olive trees. You should not do it yourself as you will never be harsh enough - hence why your enemy should do it for you.



The amount of wood you remove from the olive tree is startling and if pruned correctely you will end up with tons of olive wood. There are many, many olive trees across the island that all require pruneing so don't worry much about where the olive wood comes from - unless you are offered "stump" wood it is more than likely that it is pruned branches you are buying.

The logs we had delivered are citrus fruit and as stated are 110TL a ton.



If you want Olive or Carob it is 150TL a ton.

We have used the same delivery guy for the last 3 years and have always been impressed by the quantity and quality of the wood.

If you have a wood burner, let him know when ordering and he will cut the logs accordingly.

Yes, we are here permanently.



We usually have 3 tons every year for our wood burner.

Last year due to the cold and damp due to the flooding we had a second delivery of 3 tons but we estimate that we have about 2 tons over from last year.



A helpful hint.......if you have an open plan property (like us), consider putting curtains up in archways.

After our first year here we decided to put curtains up and we really have noticed that they contain the heat.

Our log man charges 300TL for 3 ton of mixed and offers free delivery between Guzelyurt and Catalkoy.

For deliveries past Catalkoy he charges 350TL for3 ton.

We have introduced loads of people to him and they have all been very happy with the amount.
