lost driving licence

We have arranged to hire a car while staying in Alsancak North Cyprus and I cant find my licence we are booked with Amcenya what can I dO ??!!!

First thing is do not worry. If you have your passport (which I am sure you have) then use that instead of your licence. If you have a problem then e-mail me. I presume you have only lost one part of your license or is it both?

When you say you have lost your licence have you lost both paper form and ID type?? You can you use your paper form and am sure they will need it over here when hiring car incase of an accident

Most companies just require your driving license number rather than visual evidence of your license and if you have forgotten/lost your license then your passport will do but in the event of an accident you will need to provide details of your license and that can be done by contacting DVLC and getting them to fax the details to who ever requests them.

Thanks for all your suggestions I ve been in contact with DVLC and to cut a long story short , the licence is so old 1979 they could nt find him on the data base so we have not got a licence number . We are 200m from the Golden Lady statue so not far from the beach and village and the bus stop thanks again Carmel
