Why is it when you break one bone xxxx

I broke my toes some weeks ago, no worries nothing much anyone can do but again i have fallen down on those bloody stairs, this time i am in agony. my knee goes one way but my ankle goes the other. This was over a week gto. Worked on but today the pain after one week is unbearable. Went to the hospital today and tomorrow i have to see an orthopedic doctor. I cant not work . A very kind customer brought me support bandages, I thank you. I dont think anything is broken but my knee back and front is so swollen and the pain when i get up is so strong. OK when i move. I feel my destiny apart from my animals is break a bone. I could go downstairs and get a crutch from the the nurse's stock. Well I may have to give in and accept I'm old xxxxxxx

Lilli - so sorry to hear about your accident. Hopefully after you have seen the orthopaedic doctor he can sort you out. Keep smiling - age is but a number.

sorry to hear that sweetheart. I won't be down tomorrow, just realised the pork I bought has to be used within 2 days, so it's going to be sausage making day tomorrow. Doing Cumberland Sausage and Bratwursts. (Bratwursts because its Oktoberfest sort of time hehe)

i know love but i keep trying to divide. I am not a wimp by any means, but today even my never caring husband saw my knee, and put my foot on a cushion. bless. when he came back and saw the swelling i said i need to go. I will go tomorrow to see a doctor and will be back in work. i rested it tonight it feels ok

Lots of ice will help reduce the swelling Lilli and a pain killing rub on gel we really help the pain . Hope this helps .

Pipie is right...put a bag of frozen peas on it, and get an Xray....can you bend it? If not and it's not broken, you may have chipped the knee bone, which is just as painful as a broken one. But ice or peas are your best bet for bringing down the swelling...and you really shouldn't stand if it causes you pain....get someone to cover a shift or 2 for you...there's a reason our bodies give pain.
