Make sure they are the fresh ones otherwise the marinated variety will leave heavy flatulence smells throughout the villa!

I copied this from a vet website.

There is nothing that a dog needs from eating olives, however they are not known to be harmful to a normal healthy dog.

so no worries Mike.

I can second that... our dog loves olives... picks then up chews the flesh off and spits out the stone.

All my dogs have loved olives over the years, and we haven't lost one yet from eating them.

Yesterday my four dogs ate half a kilo of olives and most of the plastic packaging as well. They were OK but I wasn't too happy!!

lol beeches. Our efes demolished his food bowl yesterday. Going to have to get him a metal one I think.

By the way, better watch out when you take them for walkies, will be shi***g olive stones like a pellet gun ;-) Sorry for being crude.

Sienna,

Just as well she spits the pips out as they are highly poisonous to dogs - not to good for humans either seeing as they contain cyanogenic acids. If you eat enough, you could die.

Our dog loves most fruit and veg but draws the line at celery and I have to agree with him.

Our old Tomcat used to entertain people at parties by rolling around in the bowls of olives and getting horny!
