With all the speculation about Way Looney , will he stay or will he go.

Has Fergie given him the heave Ho like he has done to so many other stars ?.

Or does Man u have to sell him to balance there books ?.

Hi Ronnie,

He will probably end up at money bags City.I think a wise move for him though, would be to take a pay cut and go back to Everton,

Paul.

Fergie is facing the press as we speak to discuss the speculation so things should be clearer, unless of course he objects to some of the questions in which case he'll be likely to terminate proceedings!!!

Ferguson has said he has not fallen out with Rooney but Rooney will not sign a new contract and has told him he wants to leave, just listening now. Ferguson said it was a big shock to him. Rooney was wrong in saying Man U had not helped him through his problems because they had. Fergie said he cannot answer the question as to why he want's to leave because he doesn't know. Rooney has got ankle injury carried off on a stretcher this morning in training. Fergie very subdued on TV looked really down.

What made me laugh was his accusation that the club had 'no ambition...' His play since the England campaign showed very little ambition.... That Man U stick by him when he's past his sell-by date, is to their credit but it may be to their detriment.

he is the we fat one , overweight ,overpaid and over rated , under achieving ,mufc will be lucky to get the money back they paid for him , no big club wants the baggage that comes with him , he will fade into oblivion , remember gazza , george best ,maradonna , all better players than he will ever be , get rid of him and buy crouchy from spurs .

The kid's lost it at present and therefore unpredictable, especially when his agent is probably making promises

of even higher wages and a move to continental, greener pastures and a clean slate away from the British

press and his other obvious demons. This may suit his other half also. So me thinks he will be gone, but to be honest, he's not really lived up to the hype and although he undoubtedly has the ability there are similarities here with Gazza and Best, bundles of talent and dough but lacking in the character to deal with it. We will see.

when united don't win anything this year the club will soon fall away cos even being successful cant meet the financial demands.

Msg 38 - liked it.

You used to shout at a striker they couldn't score in a brothel - well at least he can!

Over rated, over weight, hyped by the media - now to be shot down.

As stated, her in doors has spoken - move away or I will. Sounds like Mrs Beckham!

Apparently stated he wanted to go in August - when did his latest 'scandal' come out?

would rooney be happy in manchester knowing that every time he stepped foot out he would be beaten ?

but really how can one scouse tart shagger get so much coverage ?

does it matter ?

He's realised what many Utd supporters have been saying for some time. The club is in serious decline. The huge interest payments mean Utd is no longer able to spend £25-30m a year on a world class player as they have done in the past nor is the conveyor belt of young talent producing any more. The best players are all in their mid thirties with no money available for adequate replacements. The manager is in his nineties and may well be gone before rooneys current contract expires. Sir Taggart is now facing the doomsday scenario ie when he retires he won't be leaving Utd as the best club in Europe or for that matter not even the best club in Manchester. The arrogance of utd supporters remarkable bleating on about lack of loyalty seemingly ignorant of the fact Rooney/utd did exactly the same to ever ton. As my mate says if you marry a slapper you can't be surprised if she does the dirty on you.

lets get this right , rooney quotes , man utd have no ambition to win things ? my aim is to win things ? ie trophys , what team do you think he would get a game for now ? he is only 24 and has pushed the self destruct button ? he is totally rubbish ? as the saying goes , he will only score in a brothel , MUFC the most succesful club in uk for the last 27 yrs , you gotta laugh , any where he goes now is a backward step ? good luck to looney ?

its Coleen calling the shots she no longer wants to go with her son to home matches at Old Trafford and feels that everybody knew and said nothing including Wags she consider close freinds Smoke Sreen on Waynes part to save face for his Missus.

Think Rooney may well have to leave Manchester the way the fans are 'accepting' his decision. Think things are going very potato shaped apart from his head. It started at his place last night, and if he goes to City, his missus will get some abuse on the streets, as will his kid when he goes to school.

Best head off abroad and see Mrs Beckham and family.

Terry and Cole can visit and have a nice little get together and discuss their problems !!!

I'm lovin the whole thing. Got a mate staying with me this week who is a Man u fan, all week he has been telling me that Rooney is overated and past his best. They should get rid of him now and get as much as they can from any buying club, as he is not as good as he was and is just glory hunting.

I've just broke the news to him that Rooney is staying, and yes youve guessed it, he is the best player in the world again!!!!!!! cant believe how fickle these Man u fans are!!!!!!!!!

Scoty, they are my thoughts exactly, but no according to my mate Rooney has seen the light and now is back as a part of the team. What i keep thinking about is, what are all the other squad members going to make of it all, Rooney has publicly told them that they are not good enough to play alongside him and that the club itself lacks ambition.

Fergie has played a blinder here and all the Man u fans are following like sheep. Cant wait for the January sales to see who stands up to buy him.

Msg 96 Rooney will go on Fergies terms / not his.

Will he be played this weekend? doubt it! He has an ankle injury until late december now.

Disruption in dressing room if you watched interviews with Evra / Fletcher this morning. He cannot survive there.

Could not happen to a better potato head.

He added: 'I said on Wednesday the manager is a genius and it is his belief and support that have convinced me to stay.

'I am signing a new deal in the absolute belief that the management, coaching staff, board and owners are totally committed to making sure United maintains its proud winning history - which is the reason I joined the club in the first place.

'I am sure the fans over the last week have felt let down by what they have read and seen. But my position was from concern over the future.

'The fans have been brilliant with me since I arrived and it's up to me through my performances to win them over again.'

£90.000 a week, makes a cock up so to speak, spits his dummy out big time and bobs your uncle now on £150.000 a week.

How he must inspire the youth of today and has no shame about it what so ever.

Football is on its knees as is the world around it and its demise will continue.

But hey ho Man Utd can afford it, or can they ?

In the majority of his 67 games for England Rooney has been crap. His lack of decency only seems to be exceeded by his ego. I believe that his response to his self induced problems on and off the field was because he thought every top club in the world would be knocking down Man U's front door to sign him with a massive wage increase. He has had to do an about turn. Having publicly branded his team mates not good enough for Man U he has surely now made himself, with his increased pay, about as welcome in the dressing room as a fart in a spacesuit. Many of his goals last season stemmed from the contribution of pin point crosses from his team mates particularly the ones of ball off his head into net in the 6 yard box. Perhaps his problems at Man U will now become more difficult and I doubt he will have the modesty, decency, or intelligence to deal with it if it happens.

News this morning reporting that he is now the highest paid footballer in UK history .... rumoured to be as much as £250,000 a week

Still don't think Man Utd will win anything with or without him for a season or 2/3

Scholes & Giggs have been there best players and they are almost pensionable.

I doubt that Fergie will see this rebuilding through to fruition with Chelsea / Man City

To answer the original post - he is staying

As stated on a tv programme this morning - he now earns more per week than genuine hard working people earn in 5 YEARS PLUS

Loved the Ian Holloway interview about Rooney - he speaks his mind

Re the wife's publicity, totally agree re professional players - Giggs,Drogba,Fabregas,Torres etc to name a few. Anyone know the names of their wives / partners.

Then again - Terry / Cole / Beckham / Lampard / Rooney / Gerrard / Crouch - half England team there almost

would they ??

He couldn't have gone to City , no money would compensate for the grief he would have received.

Chelsea not throwing big bucks about at the moment

That leaves Spain or Italy, can't see Mrs Rooney leaving the UK, she is close to her disabled sister.

Can't see Rooney settling abroad, struggles to grasp English let alone Spanish / Italian.

I was surprised that Man Utd folded so easily, its not like he is on fire this season.

essexdan - perfect summation. Utd fold - yes - but why? fergie has been around a long time he will have a motive. Still think rooney may have ankle problem for a few months yet - as you said - not exactly doing anything good this season.

He could suffer the bench treatment and then get punted in January - depending if utd are doing alright without him.

Fergie will have the last say on this
