Winter coming----Gas Patio Heater

Can anyone help . have just re-instated our patio heater from storage and fitted new gas bottle to no avail, cannot get the pilot light to ignite so cleaned as best i could but still no pilot . Can anyone recommend someone who could have a look at it for me ( only 1 year old ) without it costing me an absolute fortune.

Any advise appreciated

Hi david9,

Check all valves are open.

If still not lighting, could be an insect etc has got into the pipes.

Could be a problem with the mercury safety switch that cuts the gas supply if it was to tip over.

How did you have it stored, Maybe on its side?

Thanks for that , it was not stored on its side. The main problem seems to be getting in to the workings of it to check the switch and other things.
