| has anyone boiled a red cabbage yet, why does it have a blue tint on the inside and whilst boiling the water turns to a real deep blue, looks like blue Listerine mouth wash, I dont remember red cabbages being like that in the UK! put me right off. |

| put a fruit cake in with the cabbage, it will become lumpy gravy... yummy .. |

| add a litte vinegar to the water before cooking, white if possible. that should stop the colour bleed x |

| Msg 1 Shred finely the cabbage and boil for 10 minutes, drain and start again with salt & vinegar added to the water for about another 30 minutes, 5 minutes before finishing add a small amount of sugar and dried raisins and finely sliced onion (not chopped), drain & serve with goose, game, venison, buffalo etc. Season to taste.
