Is there anyone living near Collier Row in Essex who could go to a friends address and check whether she is still living there? I have completely lost contact with her and am very worried. Please email me off board. Thank you.

Sorry not even near but just in case you have not tried already:

1] BT telephone directory

2] Google, Ask and Yahoo serches?

3] If she is of the right "age" maybe over the social networking sites? (Twitter Facebook LinkedIn etc.)

4] Both above but looking for people or work places you both might know?

5] The local newspaper archives?

Look on 192.com you can search the Electorial Roll on that site.

The last time we spoke she was very ill and i fear the worst has happened. Strangely her mobile phone is still connected it goes to voice mail. I have left so many messages in case her daughter picks them up but nothing.

Many thanks to the lady who answered my appeal. How kind some people are she put herself out for me. I am now a bit better informed hopefully i can find out more about what happenend to my dear friend.
