Is 'Ikea' a mind altering drug? Makes the missus try to tempt me with something called 'meatballs'?

It's a bad 'trip' either way!

Good value lunch in the € zone. 1.20 € for 5.5% ABV, 50Cl Swedish beer is good value, food okay & cheap with a great view from the restaurant. Shame they stopped the smoking zone.

Can not wait for the complaints on here when they "remove" the flat pack furniture from the people as said in Cyprus Today

Just go for lunch and if stopped by customs on return just retch over the Officer saying nothing Greek to declare!

mikeyCBBR Take no notice of some of the pratts on here, they just love to make negative comments and pull people apart, they should get a life and spend less time on 44.

Msg 10

they should get a life and spend less time on 44. (sic)

Such eloquent use of the English language using brilliant cliches as the ultimate 'put down'. You obviously have graduated in reading English at Cambridge gaining a First!

So why post or read?

Glad somebody enjoys trips to Ikea. I have been underwhelmed. I wondered if they subcontracted their cheap, chip board and MDF furniture from the now defunct MFI then applied a mark up. The odd decent item I found could be more cheaply bought in quality furniture stores and likewise their Persian carpets. I also resented having to walk every yard of the store to gain exit screaming "habeas Corpus".

As for the meatballs I suspect I would find a tin of Pal had more flavour even if barking mad. Shop 'til you drop !

Msg 13

I find chipboard gets lodged in my front teeth and bungs up my stomach which is great for absorbing copious quantities of high quality Swedish lager!

MFI ? - More Fun Indoors ?!

MDF ? - Must Definitely F**k ?!

Well, the Swedes are very open minded, approachable, kind and beautiful!

Richard you are so wicked. Its not just for Ikea they have all the other shops in the Mall. I do like the smoked salmon served in Ikea on Rye bread x
