Fantastic Soul Concert in Lefkosa last night

I take my hat off to the Lefkosa Turk Belediyesi who along with European Records Platinum Productions put on a fabulous Soul Concert at the Sehit Huseyin Ruso Stadium last night. It must have been under the Greek radar as 4 well known & top artists starred. The show was opened with TRNC trio, Babutsa who have had hits in Turkey. This was followed by X Factor winner (2004) Steve Brookstein who suprised me with a strong soulful voice covering 'Ain't No Stopping Us Now' Higher & Higher' & 'Running In The Night'. Midlands based Jacky Graham followed which for me was the star of the evening. She sounds more like Chaka Khan and rounded off to Ain't Nobody. Kenny Thomas was next up and I'd forgotten what a great voice he has singing his hits Thinking About You & Outstanding. Finally the great Gwen Dickey with her reformed Rose Royce rounded a truly great evening. Lefkosa you really kept the faith last night.....
