Weekends I loved going to the bakery back home and eating my lovely cake with a cup of tea, my husband's favourite was iced buns, mine was custard tarts, doughnuts, chelsea buns and fresh cream chocolate eclaire. Oh is your mouth watering! I was craving so much I went into Dano and came out with something that looked lovely and cost 3 lire but it was so yuck. Does anyone sell English here. I thought Dano did sell doughnuts years ago but couldnt see any.

If these cakes are so important to you, why don't you make them Chelsea buns are a bit fiddly but custard tarts are easy enough, likewise chocolate eclairs

Babrew (mess 1) my favorite cake is a vanilla slice (with lots of custard and icing)!

apc2010 (mess 2) my favorite tea is a strong builders quality, with plenty of sugar, and large cracks in the mug!

Try Coffee World near Savoy Hotel in Girne. They do great coffee, a big cup of cappuccino is only 5TL and they always have a selection of home made cakes for sale.

I miss the slice of sponge cake I used to get on a Nile Cruise, with a couple of biscuits and a cup of tea for afternoon tea. Not done a nile cruise for a couple of years. I must admit I have overdone it a bit on the same boat, will have to try a different one next time, whenever that is.

You should try Cafe Boss she does get cakes and she is always trying something new. Also if you wanted anything special just give her a couple of days notice and i am sure she will come out trumps.

Cafe boss is just next door to HSBC in kyrenia, ask for boss....
