Looks like the Greek Cypriots have taken all the state lands.... Don't know where you figures come from... but you will need to clarify. The ROC state that TC 37% land occupation is an abuse because before 1974 only 30% of land was occupied by TCs. This is even though in their heyday TC's were only about 20% of the population they were mostly rural farming communities and farmers tend to have larger land uses than other occupations. Of course their numbers declined as they emigrated to avoid ethnic strife... Some TC lands were misappropriated by GCs acting with malice forcing 'sales' under duress.

apc message 1: without having seen the original figures I am unable to comment on your statistics as such the general idea that ethnic gc's and their government usurped most of the land and businesses, pre-1974 is a matter of fact what ownership means today is far less clear than it may appear from some international edicts: firstly much of the "former gc property" has now had one or more new generations in posession, ...and the ECHR for the first time in 2010 accepts they cannot simply be turfed out secondly, without any agreement between the communities on a suitable settlement, the practical chances of all cyprus departees returning to previous addresses seems most unlikely a land for peace deal to resolve all outstanding "ownership" was roundly rejected in the 2004 vote, besides the turkish cypriot leader eroglu has proved unwilling to renew any offers of trnc territory so to sum up, time marches on in cyprus to the detriment of all "claimant" hopes

I am sure it includes the land the GC's stole at gunpoint for beans, "sell me your land or your family will all be killed" type purchase.
