After 2 years of being in TRNC ive finally found what i really missed from the UK,Egg custard pie/tart.



If im honest,the ones ive been buying for the last 3 weeks are far tastier than what i used to get back in the UK,she makes them a touch sweeter for me and plenty of nutmeg on the top.



All i need now is some 1 to make me a nice lemon meringue with a nice crunchy base bound together with butter.

According to hubby and several friends I make pretty good lemon meringue pie but it has to be good and tangy and piled high with meringue - soft in the middle and nice and crispy on the top

Anyone interested in egg custards can find me at Lambousa market on Saturdays or Sunday market down at Soyz Bar, Çatalköy. I also make a range of savoury and sweet pies, quiche and sausage rolls.
