As we all know it is expensive at this time of year to fly ....Lilli needs to get back urgently, donations for a worthy cause please.

Whilst I sympathise with Liz's plight and agree she is a lovely person who does a lot of good work for charity surely she doesn't need the 'hat passing round' on a public forum!



Maybe Liz's personal friends who would like to help finance her trip home could do it privately by email. There are so many real charities that desperately need our donations. These people do run a successful restaurant business I doubt a flight to Ireland will break the bank!



Just my humble opinion for what it's worth.



Very sorry for your loss Liz & hope you get sorted out and spend time with your family.

Agree with you MaggieAndBernie, it made me cringe when I read it, think Lilli will feel the same ..



Of course Lilli and her hubby have enough to fend for themselves without this 'hat being passed around' ....



Dont mean to offend but all sensible business people such as Lilli and hubby would have a pot for such stuff....

Firstly I wasn't the originator of a donations suggestion...If I have offended Lilli and Guido then that was not my intention and I offer my apology to them most sincerely.



Maggie and Bernie, your post sums you up and the others following on are just sheeple. I cannot wait for decent, good, caring, proper ppl to invest in the TRNC.

I am sure that all of us who offered assistance in many forms did so with the best intentions and that Lilli & Guido would not take the offer badly but I do feel that if I was them I would prefer the offers privately.

I am sure that I did not mention who did what or why.

I do take exception to being called one of the sheep and I do not have to wear a badge on my sleeve as or as not a caring person - you have no idea who I am what I do and what my principles or behaviour amount to, I do not need an apology as I suspect that it was a general rant and not aimed at me.

I feel that it would be kinder to let this drop rather than possibly embarrassing a strong couple who are caring & very sensitive.
