Hi Michele I have had dealings with him. There is another thread on here somewhere. I used him on the recommendation of a c44 user then realised I made a huge mistake. My advice - avoid! I did eventually get my furniture completed & delivered back to me but had to get a friendly local to write him a letter - no idea what it said but it seemed to do the trick! Good luck! Maggie

Maggie It was me who you took the advice from. I later apologised to you. I had a good first experience with him. that was when I recommended him. Then the next time I used him it was a nightmare. I eventually went in with guns blazing and got my money back from him. He dumped my stripped sofa in my front garden later that day. (photo was posted on this forum) I have since had the sofa recovered in Karaoglanoglu by Okan. He did a really good job and was cheaper in the long run than the chap in Alsancak. My advice, same as maggie, Avoid like the plague! Try Okan, Second furniture upholsterer on the right hand side of the road In Karaoglanoglu as you go towards Girne.

Well you have made one lady happy with the above posting. Myhusband and I took a look at the shop and wondered if we should take our settee there. Now I don't think we will bother. So, I am sorry if your misfortune has become our good fortune. But I am sorry that some of you have had nasty experiences. Why oh why do these people set themselves up inbusiness when they are seemingly not sufficiently able.

Allitop Msg 3 yes I do remember now - I posted my reply then had to fly out the door - didn't have time to find the other thread & paste a link. As it turned out we both managed to sort him out but it was an experience we could have done without! He did, in fact, eventually, do a not half bad job on my furniture (unlike yours!) but had I known about the aggravation I wouldn't have used him. I thought as they were a new business just starting out (and they had a new born baby) I'd give them my custom. Sadly I'm learning slowly to trust no one on this island till I find out otherwise - they are so full of promises till they get their hands on your money! On this occasion I think naming & shaming is deserved! Maggie

yrret; A very good friend of mine! Actually his name is Serkan, and I've known him since he was a young boy. He is very good and upholstery has been the family business for more than 2 decades! You are bound to get your money's worth and more, but if you say to him "Ozi sends his regards and asked you to help us", you will get even more attention plus a good deal!

Ozi, Serkan (oops wrong spelling above) certainly does a first class job. Apart from upholstery, he has re-made the spring protector mats for our kids trampoline, repaired the net section, and as a result of a such good job, I got him to repair the trampoline for the kids and Miss Judy's school. A very helpful gentleman indeed. Glad to see you seconding my recommendation. Anyone else needing upholstery, take note.
