We have always been told Turkish bank statements. what a farce on Monday morning. Hubby arrived at Police station at 6:45 and put his name on the list. He was number 16. Some had been there since 6am. At five to eight swarms of Turks arrived and swamped the officer with the tickets, shouting and pushing. The officer then took no notice of the list and just handed out tickets willy nilly. Hubby got 13 a guy who arrived at five to eight got 14 and the guys who had been there since 6am got nothing. It was only because a high ranking officer who had walked in at 6am took up the cause of the poor guys with no tickets and ordered the immigration officer to make sure the two six am arrivals were seen first that they got in at all. Farcical and frustrating.

Contrary to a previous post, to get the blood test slip all the usual paperwork has to be submitted at the same time. As told, as of this morning! Richard

I went this morning to get the blood test slip, all I was asked for was my passport. This was at the police station in Famagusta. I live in the Tatlisu area. No tickets, no queues, in & out in 5mins. What I was told though was that the clinic would send the test results directly to Nicosia!! When I got the test done later on in Girne, paid 80tl, I was told to collect the results on Monday. They do not send the results off for you. Also the police officer had told me I had to get an xray, when I questioned this he consulted with his colleague who informed him, no xray is needed. Again a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.
