TRNC Freehold?

I have seen a plot of land for sale.It is described as TRNC Freehold.I am unfamiliar with this term,so a little sceptical.Can anyone elaborate please?

All title deeds issued by the government are now known as TRNC freehold, they may well be Exchange, pre 74 or TMD.

ask more questions. like was it turkish or greek owned before 1974? can they prove it?

has it been measured recently? then get a lawyer and get him to look at it before making any agreement atall.

The only guarnateed check is by going to land registry in South Nicosia. You can identify the position at 1974.



But then it does not really matter because the government will probably not give PTP for pre 1974 Turkish title according to newspaper reports a couple of weeks ago.

TRNC freeldold is meaningless and misleading. Exchange means the property was taken forcibly from its legal owner. Pre-74 is the only safe and legal title. It's the honest and moral person's choice.
