Having read many of apc2010's posts and have to agree with you..,I feel pretty sure that my answer to the question,is anything likely to happen by the end of the year,will echo his......... ie; NOTHING....just more hot air.

i would be amased if a solution will be found this year, i in my opinion the property issue is the main problem,

and the average "man" on the street is fast losing interest in the problem.Only a few die-hards hold grudges against each community, the rest want to get on with their life..



if a reduction of troops on the island or the opening of famagusta port(eu controlled) then we will see progress ...

Sounds interesting,but would it work here?.As an outsider but enjoying my life here,to me one of the biggest problems in North Cyprus is the amount of nepotism at all levels in local and central government, (my own view, but surprisingly one expressed by a lot of the local people i talk to)this would need to be addressed before any form of government will work effectively here.

the problem (in my opinion ) is that most prople in power have the most to lose , though thier (perfectly legal) dealings and jobs of the last 40 odd years .... what would all these govnment / advisors do after a solution .???
