Wow, that is some turnaround! It was only 10 days ago that you were pontificating how wonderful the TRNC was.

Get out of bed the wrong side and thought you would have a whinge?

Well I love it here! - and the sausages are fine - though why anyone would want to go out for a meal and have sausages when there's so much choice defeats me.

Bit cooler today & some rain - that should bring a few whinging brits on here I think! ha ha

Is a rubbish tattoo - one depicting debris on the beach?

What do you find very expensive? We find it very cheap on the whole.... and we don't smoke, so it isn't just cheap fags...

We love it here... yes the winter does seem quiet... but we just do other things...

Go to Morrison's in the uk with £100 for food etc, and do the same here then tell me its not expensive here. The only value here now is a pint of beer(at some bars), cigarettes and the free sun, at the moment.......!!!!! and these all kill you eventually. LOL Have a pleasant day everyone.

I still like it here after 10 years though just thought I would moan for once to catch up with people that have all the stars under their names.

Agree with message 27, so many people asking where to get this, that and the other English foodstuff. The local food here is cheap, fresh and tasty, the pace of life is easy, the sun shines most of the time and life is good if you accept that we are not in England.

Wow I have 4 stars now, happy days.

Well for me I am in heaven. I am humbled that I have so many Cypriot Turkish friends. I take a big interest in their way of life and in return they will help me in anyway they can. In fact it is embarrassing for me because I cannot give as much as they give me.

I am one happy chappy.

As you can see, I am so content with my life here, that being able to wear my boots tomorrow is just one more reason why I love it! Boots means Winter is here at long last!

message 1.Must of us living in TRNC are not happy why?

I am very happy here and slowly im seeing that a lot of ex pats are quite happy too, but theres a precentage who are determined to bring it down, probably because they have had a bad experience. i think if there was a poll of whose happy, whose not, i think most are happy.I do think its wrong that certain folk are calling TRNC .

The Banana rebublic of cyprus, the TC's have had years of stick from the south, now they are getting it from the expats.:(

These unhappy people must realise that things are more or less the same as when they first came, did they think things were going to change just for them.

Life shouldn,t be only good when people think of food, bills and weather.

No one talking about other characters, how you feel when moving around, shoping etc. when they laugh do mock at you, attendance and cashiers. We happy with the behaviour?I agree personal life with your cash happy any where.

Tarry

Your premise for buying power is based on having £100 pounds to spend... in the UK you probably have to earn £150 to get a net £100... so compare the hidden costs associated with income and domicile and then do your sums. Otherwise comparing the cost of living is pointless...

Is more meaningful when we talk about where and why we live in a place...
