You have to be kidding me, you would really rather type it here than just go to google or ask or bing or alta vista or a miriad of other search engines which will probably give you covertions to several different measures.

I really can't believe this is not a wind up.

RE msg 1, Babrew (and many others): It looks like the whole world knows how to use the Google search engine - except many Brits on this board.

Type, without the brackets [ American measures ] in the Google search window at ( http://www.google.com ) and "About 89,100,000 results in 0.10 seconds" are given for free at http://www.google.com/search?q=american+measures&hl=en&num=10&lr=&ft=i&cr=&safe=images

Difficult, eh?

"To convert US fluid ounces to British fluid ounces - multiply by 1.04

To convert US pints to British pints - multiply by 0.83"

In the "old days", when I had to calculate weight and balance on aircraft, some companies and/or types of aircraft calculated fuel requirements in Kilos, some in pounds, some imperial gallons and some US gallons. You had to make sure you were using the correct charts.

All our weights were in Kilos, but lengths were inches, so balance was calculated in KG/Ins (Unless you had the odd renegade that used Lbs, then you had Lb/Ins)

yes this recipe is odd. Ok I can freeze my own orange juice but it says mix all the ingred together, well how can you mix frozen juice and then it says freeze again, well whats the point of buying it frozen or freezing it in the first place!

You need:

1 can frozen orange juice (ab. 12 oz)

1 can frozen lemonade (ab. 12 oz)

7 cups water

1/2 cup sugar

4 bags of tea

12(+) oz amaretto

1 liter of 7-Up

Steep the tea in about 2-4 cups of water for a few minutes. Throw tea bags out. Mix all ingredients together (except the 7-Up) thoroughly. Freeze overnight (I like to freeze them in gladware containers so they make big cubes of ice).

Prepare about 30 minutes before serving time: put punch ice blocks into punch bowl, then pour 7-Up over the top to taste. This recipe makes about 3+ gallons.
