I have just read on MSN forum that the rules have changed rgarding entry visas to TRNC, you now get only 30 days and not 3 months on entry.

Is this correct?

Hi Suntanman,

I've read this on other sites and it all becomes a bit confusing.

I've just contacted the TRNC London represntatives office (020 7631 1920) and been told that the 30 days visa, refers to a work visa, and the tourist visa is still 90 days.

I hope this is the case as it would appear there is no change.

Regards Bob

Hi Stuntman,

I am not sure how the immigration system is working now, only two weeks ago some friends came over to stay he got a 30 day visa and to her amusement a 90 day visa, I guess the logic is that if the geezer goes the wife will follow, How wrong they are!

Hi Suntanman

I have received the following information from Shelteroffshore re the visitors visa,

"When you arrive just state that you require the 90 day visa as that is how long you are staying. Just politely demand it otherwise you will only get 30 days."

has anyone else any other information?

we arrived a month ago and our passports were stamped 60 days so we had to go to the Police Station in Nicosia to get them extended for another month so it is worth checking your passport on entry.

My wife and İ flew into Ercan 4th April and were given 90 day vısa without asking. Nothing surprises me though with the TRNC alleged anti UK citizen stance.

You think this is inconsistent, we have resident visas, they still often write '30 days' when we re-enter, they even have written it on our childrens passports. Children (up to 16 or 18 can't remember which) can stay indeffinitely, with no visa etc with parents/guardians.
