| thanks for that. I need more information on the election of owners committee an the regulations regarding this. If the meeting time & location is not stated and a very small number of owners in the know turn up, does this constitute a legaly binding committee if there was no oportunity to give proxy vote to anyone. Is there a rule that says once a date has been set the meeting must go ahead?! |

| Hi Fawsley, When a committee is being formed, all owners on the complex must be informed, all owners must have the opportunity to put their names forward for election and all the owners must have the opportunity to vote for whichever nominees they choose. If a committee is formed in any other way, then they are self elected and are not democratically elected. All meetings have to be advertised and should not be cancelled without prior notification.
