I really have no choice but to write to you to state a few facts about Geoff and Mary Day court case.

• How Meany members were present when the Police arrived to empty Geoff And Mary Days two Garden sheds of Stolen goods, which by the way required 2 truckloads to remove, lets quote Mary in her own words to the newspaper Cyprus Today “I don’t know what all fuss is about over a bit of wood and paint” two truckloads (Mary it is called stealing.)

• Not only was Regeiolia the builder fare game, so was all the local building sites, “Geoff called it recycling” we call it stealing.

• Mary Days has tried to cloud the issue of the thieving, with their ongoing dispute with the builder calling it a vendetta by the builder, not true the Days have had ample opportunities to settle their Snagging issues on the property.

• Even after going to arbitration failed to make a payment recommended to settle the issue and allow the builder to complete the snagging issues, the Days never had any intensio

I have no connection with anyone in this case but any country which locks up a pensioner for such a pathetic reason should be looking at itself very carefully.

JimmyJ, any sources for these facts or, as I suspect, have you just made them up? The reason I say this is that none of this came out in the court case. I think you should give us you real name so we can pass it on to the prosecution and then you can appear as a witness. Then you could perjure yourself.

as a non recognised "country " (other than turkey) they can do what they want ....nobody to answer to ...

I think more to the point is there any truth in post No.1?

We have seen many postings supporting the Days but we have seen nothing from the other side. So are these allegations true or not?

Seems to be a very strange smell around jimmyJ. With the grammar and spelling mistakes, together with the time of afternoon posted one wonders whether he's who I, or we think he may be.

The statement I quoted above reveals him as the builder himself or a very close associate. Not very convincing at all. I think it is a statement of desperation. This is my opinion.

Can anyone dispute what is posted in message 1? As there has been a lot of one sided rhetoric on here about the case why should some one else that has a different viewpoint not have their say?

I have closed this thread because whilst I sympathise with the posters and in particular respect the reactions and feelings of my fellow forum admins I feel that it is inappropriate to discuss the facts and evidence of the case on this or any other forum. I rather suspect that the original poster is not unconnected to the builder in the case and thus I understand people wanting him outed as such, however the matter is at present the subject of a live if ridiculously prolonged trial.



There is a fundamental difference in reporting the evidence heard in open court and speculating on facts in a case that is clearly sub judice.



As it appears that the daily reporting cannot happen then we are I think as far as the substance of the case best waiting for the outcome. Anything else could threaten the position of Geoff and Mary.
