Are there any blood banks/hospitals other than those in Paphos, wanting a donation ? I understand it's a unique blood group in view of the recent eradication of Thalassemia, in Cyprus, could be of use to the elder generation. Willing to donate blood / bone marrow, thanks Jullie

The TRNC Central Blood Bank is always looking for donations. Contact the BRS for details.

Same blood group but no point donating unless in an emergency as the shelf life is only 90 days. Being so rare, best kept in your body for when needed. Contact Chris, 'nurse awful' to point you in the right direction to be registered for contact in an emergency only. Richard
