residency renewal

Hi,

Can anybody tell me what documents i need to renew my residency as i have heard so many different things.

This will be my 3 rd time.

If you pop into Girne Police station there is a list on the door of Immigration. They update this list everytime anything changes. From memory its the same as for the actual residency except for the blood test.

At Police Station

- New Muhtar letter (they will keep original)

- Copy of Stamped contract

- Copy of bank statement

- Copy of passport

- Pink (or blue) booklet

No stamps are required at this stage



At Immigration Office in Lefkosa

- Passport

- 5.6ytl stamp (you can buy this in the cafe down the hall)

- Fee of 146ytl



Each person needs to have all of the above

When you say new muhtar letter, do we have to get this every year from them or can we give them the one we have used before?

Its a new one that's needed because they usually keep the original and won't accept photocopies (not even colour ones).
