Went along to the first Lefke Date Festival today. It was a largely low-key event, set to liven up into the night. There were stalls selling real local produce, lots of dates and pickled walnuts etc. Music by some very talented musicians, particularly the darbuka player, reminiscent of Rony Barak.



We were taken on a guided tour of the upper reaches of the village by a registered TRNC guide and it was a very interesting tour indeed.



worth looking out for next years event I'd say...
