Ther is a place in alsancak.Cant remember their name but, coming from Lapta turn right by 'friends',follow that road and you'll see it about 4-500 yards after. They've done a job for a friend of mine and he was very pleased.

salahi thanks will look up when i arrive on the 14th,hope they open for business next week could you help me on this too my learn'nd friend, if I were to bring over my peuguot 206 sept 03 model,1360cc next year what sort of duty would i expect to pay after one year, bear in mind i come as a visitor maybe 3-4 times a year spending at the most 10 weeks a year,my wife and daughter have their kimlit cards and my wife has a property in lapta, the idea is to bring the car over(in my name)as a second car, will there be any issues apart from the duty after one year. it's difficult to divide the car 3 ways! I have read your knowledge on imports on cyprus44 thanks

little confused! Have you already imported one? if yes was it in 'your' name? if yes you must pay duties on arrival. and the vehicle cant be more then 3 years of age. To make sure, call me when you are over if you want and I'll come with you to customs just to make sure on everything.(0533 873 9181) BAYRAMINIZ KUTLU OLSUN

basheer; If you have not already imported one and the car you are thinking about importing has been in your name for minimum of 5 years then you'd be able to import it. Bring the log book with you if you want and we'll go and make sure on everything.

I bought my first car in leftkosa 2 yrs ago when we bought the property in 08, seemed sensible then hiring, this is for sending my personel car over if the econmics are sound and just I thought you pay tax on import cars after the first year and if the car was owner from new then 7 yrs old is okay otherwise the 3 yr rule applies
