Liz My recipe for mulled wine in a slow cooker for the bar. Great smell and very Christmassy 2 Lt of plonk red wine Half bottle of cheap brandy 1/2 Lt of orange juice 1/2 Lt of lemonade Dozen or so of whole cloves 4-6 whole sticks of cinnamon Sliced fresh orange & apple Keep on low heat setting and serve 4 hours later. Top up the following day in roughly the same quantities. If too tart a little sugar can be added. Richard

Good lord Brinsley! that's a strong one, sounds yummy though will give it a try. Usually use that Turkish red in a litre bottle,Dikmen I think. By the way Brinsley did you mean Cypriot Brandy or French type? or doesn't it matter?

Msg 8 The cheapest red and local brandy you can buy, it makes no difference than using the expensive stuff. Richard
