Went to this restaurant today with friends. Had a really lovely meal. When we asked for seconds they were brought to the table with no problems. Villa doluca wine at 15ytl per bottle. Background music on three individual tv screen videos. After dining, David the proprietor was only too pleased to play your own personal preferences for any kind of music on the tv that was positioned closest to your table. A faboulous sunday outing. WELL DONE DAVID AND TERRY AND SERCAN. We will return.

Drive towards Catalkoy from Girne. Go past Cratos Hotel and about 600m on your right you will see Octopus Aquapark, next door to The Grove Restaurant.

I can tell you that it is very rich food, with an emphasis on sauces. When I get in to the office, I will post a sample menu. If you are passing, please drop in.

Hi racoonchic, Looking forward to seeing you. Please remember we are not open on Monday evenings. Hi Tootie, Come and try the liver & onions. If it gives you indigestion, you don't have to pay for it.

One question? Why did someone ask for seconds, are the portions small or were they big eaters? Thinking of trying the place Sunday.

Hi Stockie We asked with tongue in cheek, when approached by Terry, the chef, asking was everything alright with the meal He immediatly went to the kitchen and produced a bowl of cabbage and another bowl of steak and kidney in a lovely gravy. We had no alternative but to eat it all....wonderful food.

No Stockie. Mr Piggy wasn't with us on this occassion. We were having a laugh with the chef and he called our bluff We will know better next time. The whole point is that the food was excellent and if you had a large appetite then the staff would oblige. Try that in a Paki joint!!!

Just been tonight and had a great meal. And we loved the videos playing through the TV set. Great steak. Great starter in fact - the flaked salmon. Going again on Sunday! What a treat. A place that delivers exactly what it says on the tin! And there's not a lot of that about. Thanks Terry. Had a great night. And who was it on here who said it wasn't as good as Efendi? It's better. And so is the atmosphere and the feeling of being welcomed and included. Long may they reign.

Mess 33 "Paki" is a term with racist connotations and has been deemed to be so by UK law, as I am sure you know, and if you were caught using it in the UK you could be prosecuted, it is equally offensive as the "n" word for coloured people, these terms have no place in the world of today it only show you up I am sorry to say.

Yes it is straitasadie but it is well known as a offensive term as are others. Would you think nigg@er is acceptable for coloured people? or maybe black? darky, coon, wog? etc there has to be lines drawn. It often depends how it is used I will agree and equally to me terms that are used for white people are similarly unacceptable, but I don't make the laws.
