Tootie, with respect, I never said people did not have problems, I said "no one has a problem that they would like shown on ITV." I've been contacted by her several times and she has posted several messages and she asked me why no one has contacted her and so I told her why. She asked if she could put her enquiry on NCFP and so I did.

journey1, send her an email she seems to have very little to use in the programme and just mentioning the fact you're contacting on here might instantly solve your rental problem.

even HBPG are ignoring them, according to Laura Stevens the Assistant Producer. At one time people with property problems used to always be banging on about telling the world about their problems. Hope the builders who still have title deeds in their names don't now get the idea that they can do an Akfinans Bank and get away with it. An estimated 1400 people without title deeds should be very worried, IMHO.

why don't you publish her email addresss on here and allow people to decide for themselves.

I do have a problem and I would have it shown on ITV and a lot of people agreed at the last HBPG meeting (except Marian Stokes). So let them decide rather than organising it yourself.

I am really very surprised indeed that there isn't a strong interest in airing "what is" ...

It's the ideal opportunity for all those who have been badly let down and it will also help warn those who were thinking about investing to be very cautious about the whole process. Seeing that the "Homes from Hell" series is covering the RoC and other places, I think it should also cover the TRNC for a balanced view.

Action not apathy is needed here.

Lara tried to go through HBPG but couldn't contact them so she decided to ask me to publish an article for her. All her own words, communications to her.

Why don't you? What makes you think people are not capable of making up their own minds? BTW, in case you missed it HildySmith, Lara Stevens is paid to organise the programme and not me. North Cyprus Free Press is there for people to publish what interests them and as long as it is used I'll keep it going, otherwise I've got a better things to do.

Minter, I'm trying to get her round to talking to Rauf Denktaş as part of the background to a story about Homes From Hell. She's only an Assistant Producer so I'm not sure how much say she has on the focus of the programme. However, interestingly, the programme filmed in the south seems to be including references to the shots fired at the film crew, ignored by the South's police.

It would be nice to think that the TRNC government would make sure that the film crew went back to the UK with a more favourable impression of their attempts to correct the property injustices here.
