anyone know where to get a wheel bearing replaced making a very loud noise, tried one garage in Alsancak and they said there was nothing wrong with the bearings it was the tyres that were the problem, they just put the car on the hoist and had a look underneath.

if the car was on a lift and you spin the wheel ,you can often hear a bearing noise ??



tyres do drone as well ,especially on poor compound or on cheap tyres or mud and snow tyres if driving on tarmac.

As Kavenkoy said tyres can give off almost the noise and a wheel bearing. If you need a second opinion, im an english mechanic give me a call..05338439065..john

Try ZIGGY his garage is on the right, mid way down on the road to Merit Crystal Cove Hotel, He recently replaced the wheel bearings on my Isuzu.
