much as I'd like to see a compromise, *I* think the GCs will say that it is their 'right' by EU law, ( and TR's signing of the Ankara accord) to have access to TR ports / airspace anyway.. the 'rump' RoC should never have threatened the V word, anyway...but I guess that the promise not to use it - in exchange for these rights will be their 'compromise'



For SURE, direct access to Ercan/ Tymbou will come - as part of a deal - but the GCs will want to make that part of a CY settlement....



This is one time, I'd like to be wrong ;)

Not being terribly politically minded, but do follow things going on here with great interest, I am sure the 6 M's will comment and put me right!!! But why the hell does Turkey not remove say 50% of their troops from here, they can easily afford to do that as good will, and that surely would leave the GC's running to the latrines knowing the ball would have been put firmly back in their court? Just a thought.
