Hi all, just found this site and wanted to ask a few questions.

We currently live in the south and are playing around with idea of moving to NC.

What are the pitfalls or things we need to know about this transition or indeed the advantages.

As a market trader are there any markets that are popular with Brits as my product is mostly (not all) directed towards this market.

Basically, any information or where to find it will help us start this fact finding mission!!

Karen,

First off, rent for a year until you are sure you are making the right decision. There are swings and roundabouts between N & S Cyprus and you need to know what they are. Remember, we are not in EU and things are different here. It's also much more expensive to live here than it was.

I am sure others will give you more advice, for example, theoretically you might need a work permit if you want to sell at markets, etc.

Good luck, whatever your choice.
