Can anyone please advise about this airline. Leg room, food? Also the 20kg baggage allowance is this the total amount or do they allow any extra for cabin baggage please. Have just been offered cheap flights for dates we want flying from Manchester next year but want to know a bit about them before we confirm tomorrow. Cheers Sue

The 20kg is for hold luggage. There is an additional allowance for hand luggage - 7kg I think.

Take your own food on board. It'll be far better and possibly cheaper.

Sue........ i fly regularly with Pegasus and have never had any problems with them . The legroom is ok , but i always pay for the extra . they are not very hot on luggage weight, of which 20 kg is free in the hold and 6 kg in the cabin. Although just lately they are weighing hand luggage . No free meals on board but they have a very good menu at a reasonable price .

For some unknown (well, to me, anyway)reason, we always seem to fly Stansted - Ercan in really cramped seats but from Ercan - Stansted in seats that are much more comfortable. Well, obviously they are different types of aircraft - doh!!!!!!!!!! but it seems odd that it always happens? Definitely take your own food on board.

In order to exceed cabin weight allowance use second or third relatively small bags.Due to thier low prices they started check the wieghts as they need extra income.

We fly all the time with Pegasus and it is definitely 20kg cabin and 8kg hand. You can also carry on a camera, shawl, jacket and laptop with no extra charge. It is all printed on their website.

Flew with Pegasus for the first time in October and found the leg room a little better than CTA. Also took our own food onto the plane and ate whilst on the ground at istanbul. From what I saw, the meals served on board looked about average and comments overheard were that the drinks were on the expensive side.

Check on the web-site but in Septembers in-flight magazine, it said that if you let them know that your bags are going to be overweight it was something like £1 per kilo instead of £8 per kilo if pre-paid But like I said check it out.

Sorry just checked and its £6 per kilo if pre-booked but £8 per kilo at the airport. To most of the Eurozone countries it is only 1 Euro if pre-booked.

Pegasus are a good airline - food normal plane food get some before you get on plane. Get there early ask for emergency exit seats for extra legroom - sometimes you get lucky all in all always had a pleasant on time journeys. Always been very generous with their baggage allowance as long as you don't go massively over No problem with oversized parcels all in all pretty efficient

I did a trial booking for Ercan - Stansted return in mid March 2011,the normal price is £178.00,the "50%" discount brings this down to £128.00.... Not 50% in my maths.... I guess that the Ercan-Istanbul part is not discounted at all...

Used them lots and lots, yes 20 kg and yes 8 kg cabin and yes £8.00 per kilo extra. Always take our own food, I reckon verey good value airline, approx 7 pence per mile. Try running your car for that price.

i think it is only the actual seat price that is discounted, still have to pay full taxex etc, not 50% of total cost, still a good deal

Just booked 3 x 1 way Stansted to Ercan April 2nd and with the 50% discount the flights worked out at £63.00 each. The 50% discount is off the flight price BEFORE the tax goes on. We have flown with them a number of times and never had a problem.

emineden1 Is that outward bound from Ercan ? We are always well under going out, but normally a good 16 kg over on return, and it is now £ 8.00 per kg from stanstead, (and they won't budge). Would you happen to know if you can book excess baggage on return on that deal? Happy New Year. xx
