Very nice, probably worth it, but 250 per week is well above current rent for similar Villas in NC

currently 450 -650 on ebay. Hope your successful anyway.

pilgrim seems knowledgable on the figures but I paid £400 for a week in April for a villa which I thought was very, very good value. It had fantastic views and was perfect. I think you take risks if you go for a cheapie even from E Bay life is not always about saving every last penny (yet although Gordon is working on it) so go fo the value rentals dont give it away as many people will not respect your property.

several neighbours let theirs, 5bed with luxury furnishings, 10x5 private pool, currently 650 pcm. april 450. how beds was the one you rented?

I guess monthly rentals are not appropriate for short term vacation rentals Pilgrim so the markets will be different. Longer term e.g. monthly or more. will attract a lower rentals no doubt. The villa I rented was 3 doubles with 2 ensuite and an additional shower room. Location on the hillside near Karmi with about 6 villas on the development so again I thought it was good value. I think it was called Secret Paradise I booked it on the internet. The pool was fairly privtae if one neighbour was not looking and the views from the hillside were spectacular. The lights of St Hilarion glowed in the background behind the BBQ. I must stop reminiscing (sorry strugging to spell that.)

Rocky - Thanks for the recommendation for our "Secret Paradise". We have found that most rentals in North Cyprus are good value compared to other places in the Med but, as you would expect, prices do vary dependant on location, facilities offered, long or short term rental etc .... I suspect that prices may rise next year for villas with private pools and lots of air conditioners due to the steep increase in electricity costs.
