we are having the first of our see,hear and taste cyprus nites at the Kirik Catal restaurant in Girne .right behind the cafes opposite the Girne Belediye ,starting at 7.30 till late we have a 3 course turkish meal of fish or mixed grill and 1 bottle of raki

wine or cyprus brandy FREE for every table of 4 ,all for the handsome price of 35 tl ,enjoy your meal to the cyprus sounds of the island famous Dogan playing the saz ,playing classics of zorba the greek and others ,warm yourself

I can thoroughly recommend this Restaurant, we had some lovely meals courtesy of Niyazi when we came over in September and am looking forward to a few more when we return early next year.

Went along last night, unfortunately very disappointed. When asked about the 'special' night, staff knew nothing about it so had to explain about the 'offer'. Spoke to the lady owner, who said that the manager had left, and she knew nothing about the evening...nor the advertisement in Cyprus Today, although the photographer from CT did turn up. Food below average, and so was the service. No open fire, so a bit chilly......The raffle advertised for charity, never took place. Saving grace really was the saz player, Dogan, who was excellent and it was nice to have the music without it drowning out conversation. It COULD have been a lovely evening, and after the promotions it is a shame they didn't get it right. Loved the room though, with a huge stone fireplace........would have looked great with a fire in it. And finally, had to ask bill to be itemised rather than a slip of paper with a total on it. Fair enough if the Manager had left but should have been bit more organised.

Message 6, thats such a shame, we ate there half a dozen times in september and it was delicious and Niyazi was very accomodating considering they hadn't long. Did the lady you spoke to say where had gone??
