We're having problems with the picture on the TV. What you can see is a lovely clear picture but it keeps shrinking to just the middle section of the screen. Does anyone know of a TV engineer that could look at it? It might just need a new valve or something. Thanks

chrisieh1 ! it sounds as though you have an intermittent voltage timebase fault or a simple "dry joint" in that area ! Does it happen after a short while of being switched on ? TV must be very old if you still have valves !!! stopped using them in the 60's !

Snakes, thanks for the reply, Laughing about the valves. I don't know a thing about TV's it's just someone told me thats what it could be. Maybe not then. Can we do anything about an intermittent voltage or dry joint?
