Given the fairly imminent changes to the dodgy tv providers, has anyone any experience of satellitecyprus whose advertising suggests they are not providing a pirated service but a legal one.

Comments would be appreciated.

You should have no problems with satellite cyprus as they are selling you an official package, in the same way as you can have Sky here - the other companies like Dopi are selling you a service based on card sharing which is illegal and will be a thing of the past after 19th December.

I have a fairly new (17 months) Humax 26" digital TV with built-in Freeview which I was considering bringing to North Cyprus. Can anyone tell me please if this set will work OK in North Cyprus? My local village electrical shop from whom I purchased tells me that they do not think it will work outside the UK but to check with people who are already living in NC. Currently I do not use Sky or satellite dish etc.

There is no Freeview in the TRNC but you can use the TV with a sat, box setup.
