| Wikileaks is a website that publishes anonymous submissions and leaks of sensitive governmental, corporate, organizational, or religious documents, while attempting to preserve the anonymity and untraceability of its contributors. if you want to know more, look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikileaks |

| After 9/11 the US decided that they needed to find a way, to make sure that all their intelligence departments had a way of pooling and sharing intelligence data. This has meant that all the data has been filed away in one system. This data was made available to thousands of US military personal. A low ranking officer called Bradley Manning managed to pass on this data to Wikileaks, who are now drip feeding that data in to the public domain. The information shared reveals analyses undertaken by American diplomats around the world. Whether the leaks are bad news depends on where you stand. Those who favour openness and transparency see it as good news. Those who believe that governments should be given some licence about what they deem as being confidential and not see it as bad news. I am sure others, will be able to give you more`details, and do so more profoundly and simply. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiLeaks |
