had problems too with it and my computer, it turned out to be a problem with an add on........ I had downloaded an update for adobe on sat or sunday...... Only discovered this after speaking to our comp man........ I had to systematically go through the add on and find the one causing the problem.............Adobe update 10. When I got rid of Adobe it all came back to normal.....i had even tried taking my com back a few days prior to speaking to the comp man.

You mean you can actually get BBC and ITV players to work? I have recently installed expat shield, but so far have had no joy downloading anything. It took about 10 hours to download something yesterday, then said there was an error when it tried to play. I find the websites decidedly user unfriendly. I can't even see how to download on the ITV site and I'm usually pretty PC competant!

this is how I get on, open up expat sheild wait until it gives me an Ip address.. then I get rid of the ads etc open up internet explorer and type in where I want to go bbc i player, ITV, Channel 4 etc, select the programme not necessary to download it - we dont down load we just watch it...Like catch up TV. Yesterdays programmes, or last weeks........... Hope this helps

Thanks for that, have tried to watch like that but your internet connection must be better than mine as it is constantly buffering and therefore extremely irritating to try and watch

Why are some of you bothering to install a VPN with the overhead of adverts when folks like Nethouse and I are giving connections for FREE..?!!

Just taken from their Facebook page, their UK servers are down and they are trying to sort it. Because they are based in California they only started work about 1 hour ago.

Dear JoanneM It is MUCH easier if a 'visit' your pc to see what is going on..... I can do this by agreeing a time for your to be in front of your pc - I tell you a website to visit ( http://www.readyforsupprt.com ) and I give you a code and it let's me 'take control'... As soon as I disconnect the code is useless and I cannot re-connect unless you visit the site and I give you a new code ;)
