I've pre-recorded the next 3 'Soul Train' radio shows on Radio Bayrak International until Christmas as I'm going back to the UK tommorow. Radio shows are on a Saturday morning at 10am on 87.8 or 105FM. If you haven't a good reception on your radio you can listen via your computer on http://www.brtk.net and select Bayrak International.

If you have any requests for your favourite soul track please leave a message attached to this and I will be delighted to play & dedicate to you in the new year.

Keep The Faith

Next Saturday I'll be playing Gladys Khight's original hit & version of I Heard It Through The Grapevine followed by Marvin Gaye's cover that went platinum worldwide.

Below there are live performances by each artists, which do you think is the best?

On Saturday 18th December my original recording is Patrice Rushden's own composition followed by a cover from Tongue & Cheek. Which do you think is the better version?

Bill, Totally agree with you. Did you know that this track was the only Marvellettes record to chart in the UK. It's odd really as they provided Motown with their first Billboard chart topper (Please Mister Postman), and over in the UK most people think that is a Beatles song!!!!

Please Mr Postman - a great track, particularly by the Marvellettes. I heard it the other day on the car radio.

Bill - When you're Young and In Love - brought back some very happy memories of my misspent youth

PS Also heard Stevie Wonder My Cherie Amour on the radion today. Ahhhhhh.................... I was 17/18 again. Since I was 60 last Monday, it did make me wonder where the years had gone. Happy Days.
