i think they will when they open as it does save going all the way to Catalkoy and the small shops in the village are a bit limited

But when is a 'supermarket' a SUPERmarket?? I hope i'm wrong, but it'll probably end up selling the same stuff that Sarac on TBV/Esentepe village sell, and no doubt the new one near the Antique will be the same too! What we really need is a shop with an extended range, like Supreme, or even a Lemar.

Metran supermarket at Tatlisu on the Main road stocks pretty much everything and so accommodating. However nice to have more supermarkets opening on the East side !!

I find Sarac on turtle bay very disappointing as it never seems to have a great supply but the new supermarket next door to Mardo on the coast road has a very extensive range, I had a look in on Saturday but they weren't open yet, they let me have a look around tho, so hopefully it continues to be so because its a little bit closer to us than Starlings at catalkoy.

Sarac on TBV site is an absolute little gem.Doesn't quite compare to Tesco but stocks all your everyday items. It would have been a long trek for many of us for essentials like water, gas bottles etc without it and very difficult for anyone without transport. When you suddenly realise you've run out of sugar, milk, coffee.Sarac is there! It's your original little corner shop. I checked out the new supermarket, agreee it has a more extensive range.I will use and support it but only for items that are not available in Sarac. Agree with message 9 A Supreme,or Tempo with a fresh meat counter, deli etc would be an absolute boon for the East side,to save the journey into Chatalkoy However whatever we eventually get I'll never desert Sarac entirely.

Hello Linda Yes I agree it is super to have a great little facility to just go to for the little things but think the point that Liz was making was that she was travelling from Alagadi and probably couldn't get her whole shop at Sarac, but all the little shops in the Esentepe village combined and you can find most things, I just hope that they can all make a profit.

It would be nice to make a conscious effort for as many as possible to continue to support Sarac supermarket . It would be a real shame if through lack of support Sarac was ever forced to close. Quite a few holiday makers renting around the surrounding area also rely on just walking to Sarac's,as part of their holiday is not wishing to drive off the complex having to shop. So all round as they say ''use it or you may lose it'' !!
