I feel like brewing my own beer. Any one know any shops in Cyprus selling the necessary equipment. A friend suggested the south-side supermarket Alfamega. Do you think that's my best bet?

Lidl are selling quite a decent (4.9%) beer, 2,99 for 6x0.5litre bottles. Make you wonder if it is worth the effort. I must admit I enjoyed DIY Beer when stationed in Fleet.

I know it can be bought cheaply Yenibob, but I would like to make it for myself - it's challenge that my brother has given me.

bonnie I bought a kit online and was able to have it shipped here (though i think it cost like 60 pounds). If you're looking to buy all your equipment at once it might be worth it instead of paying whatever you might pay to bring it back on a plane. I got my FVs and things from BrewUK, but there are a couple of other places that will ship to Turkey and any of them might do if you contact them. There seems to have been a fair bit of interest in home brewing the last few months on here but so far I believe nobody has found a local supplier.

Thanks big time Mahdel - I think I will take you up on your advice and get BrewUK to ship a kit here. Thanks again

Why not make hootch? i.e. spirit. Dead easy to make a still, and to source the ingredients. In Saudi Arabia we used to call it "flash".
