Our friends lovely daughter and her newly wedded husband have safely arrived in TRNC to Honeymoon for two weeks.

I think it is lovely that they have chosen North Cyprus to spend their precious time.

Please join me in congratulating them on their nuptials, and if any of you do see the 'love-locked' couple wish them all the best.

Congratulations to the Bride & Groom! I hope they have a lovely honeymoon.

Aren't there some horrible people on this forum lately - I sincerely hope the young newlyweds don't bump into any of these nasties!

they may need educating in fidelity and most people fail this test after 2/3 years. Of course we wish them good luck they will need it. PLease update the forum in 2012 if they are still together.

I,m willing to swap my wife.........any takers ?? I,m looking for a decent Lawn Mower or a small Fridge for beer !!!!

Seriously good luck to Mr and Mrs are they staying at the "Slipit Inn" ???

My 1st wife was advised by her mum on our wedding day.....Be careful if he asks to make love from "The other hole" !!! I never did ask. Anyhow after 2 years of marriage, she asked me to make love from the other hole. I said don't be crazy you might get Pregnant !!!! ;-)

Have to agree with Maggie Msg 4.

Why do people have to reply with such silly comments?

Chick-a-dee was asking her fellow board members to support the newly weds and make them feel welcome here in TRNC.

Is that too much to ask?

I only hope that the couple are not shown the comments (only the nicer one's)

on this board...it would certainly make me wonder the mentality of some (not all) people.

In April we had a group of 20 over for a wedding.

They had never been to TRNC and it was we that recommended they get married here.

One of the memories the group went home with is the friendliness of the locals and the expats who they met when they were out and about and just walk up to them to offer their congratulations...a simple thing that meant so much to the couple.

To the newly weds "Many congratulations! May you have a long and happy marriage. Enjoy Sunny TRNC"

Have a good day all.

I agree with Elko and the others who have quite rightly dismissed the idiots on this forum.

Congratulations to the honeymooners - you have chosen well. TRNC is a wonderful place (despite said idiots). May you hvae many happy years together x

Ismet msg 11

I agree with you 100% I think the best way to deal with this 'problem' is to completely ignore it i.e. don't mention name, don't reply to questions, just blank it like it's invisible - soon get bored and crawl back under whatever stone it came from!

Thank you for all the 'nice' messages, which I will forward to the 'newlyweds'.

I had a text from them this morning, they have been into Girne, had breakfast down by the harbour, which they said was fantastic.

There off to Famagusta tomorrow, to see some ancient ruins. They are looking forward to having a night out tonight - they didn't say where.

Please continue with thoughts of their good wishes, and maybe some jottings about your own wedding day / honeymoon, like when was it, any funny stories, where did you go on Honeymoon - did you have a Honeymoon??

Congratulations to the Honeymooners, I myself am coming to TRNC to holiday for my 40th Wedding Anniversary next Thursday, showing all doubters that it is possible to stay married to the same person for more than 2/3 years.

Again congratulations.

Best regards

Congratulations to the newlyweds and I hope they have a fabulous honeymoon and a very long life together. They have picked the right place, great weather and the local (I worked with mainly Turkish people in my last job) and ex-pats (most of the ones on this board) are really nice people.

I myself have been married for just over 34years.

The Honeymooners texted me this morning to say that they had a fantastic and very romatic meal at Pasta Mania the other night. It is nice to hear all the good things about TRNC. Thank you all for your lovely comments ....

Slipper1 ... no mate, you must be mistaken. Honeymooners texed me to say they had a lovely day in all day yesterday sunning themselves around the pool, sipping chilled champagne in their fully 'finished' villa in Alsancak, that has been very kindly loaned to them at no cost.

They have no need to look at any other villas - they have better things to do with their lives, like enjoy themselves in TRNC with the company of all the friendly people.

They have asked for recommendations for their final night out on Thursday. They are looking for a romantic setting where they can dine and enjoy their last night beofer heading back to the UK ..... Can anyone suggest anything for them?

Would second that Bob....Tervetuloa (0533 8632394).

Arif and his daughter will make them feel really welcome and it's a lovely garden setting.

Chick-A-Dee....

Although Bob and I have recommended a true authentic restaurant.....I suppose I should have asked a couple of questions...what sort of food do they like and what sort of budget?

Are they contactable while here in TRNC as hubby and I are happy to help them out if needed.

Aah bless you puppylove. That is the most sweet and thoughtful thing I think anyone as offered me ever and its not me that's being fed. However, you can feed me when I come out in October! Only joking! I wouldn;t want to take advantage of your very good nature.

Thank you, but they are looking forward to spending their last night queitly together under the beautiful Cyprus star filled sky (hopefully)! And want recommendations of where to eat. The newly wedded Groom doesn't care how much it costs, so long as his bride is happy.

Chick-A-Dee....

No problem at all...genuine offer.

There are loads of places to eat here and I'm sure other members will make some suggestions.

As already mentioned.....Tervetuloa....very authentic....seating outside in a garden...twinkly lights, nice soft romantic background music and typically traditional food.

Ambiance....lovely setting overlooking the sea....nice white tableclothes...varied menu and well presented.....service very good.

The address and Di Figaro....both as above.

Veni Vici...one of our favourites....Italian...superb food...only down side is not very romantic setting as it is on the main Lapta road (doesn't put us off though).

Haci Ali.....beautiful setting......good service....varied menu.

Saint Tropez.....one of the best (and more expensive restaurants)....superb food....always make you very welcome...only downside is that it is indoors...hence no twinkling stars!

Make sure that the newly weds mention when booking that it is the last night of their honeymoon and I am sure they will get a little extra something to make their last night special.

Wherever they go...both hubby and I wish them both all the very best and hope they return home with loads of wonderful memories.

Hi Lilli ...

I think they were at yours last week ... they mentioned that they had an excellent meal and I am sure it was Guidos (something Italian), I will find out for sure Lilli and give you a review .... if not I will recommend them to try you.

We ourselves are over in October, we intend to visit you, we have heard such good reviews, and the other recommended above restaurants .... ooh I can feel the waist line expanding as we speak!

Thanks x
