My Sky remote controller is driving me mad I cannot turn the sound down with it all of a sudden is there a way of reconfiguring it??

everything else works you can change channels etc its just the sound - so not batteries

Sienna ............ i had the same trouble not so long ago and phoned Sky. They did it over the phone with me pressing the buttons . I don't think you can do it yourself unless you know the routine. It only lasted for a few weeks then it went again . I ended up paying a £45 call out fee !!! Bloody pirates !!!

You could always get one brought over for you ! They are cheap enough now !

I think you have to programme the tv in.Different makes have different codes.

all sky remotes will loose the cloned IR remote code at some time ( this is the code the remote is matched to at point of install ) ie if your tv is a panasonic the three digit code is 678 .



press the tv button then hold down the select and red key simultaneously and the LED at the top of the remote will blink twice then enter the code for your tv ( 678 if its panasonic ) then press select again and it will work your volume and tv functions .



see sky customer services via interactive for all the codes for all the other manufacturers like samsung and toshiba.

Do you remember the days when it was ................Arry turn the sound up ...........Arry turn the brightness up .......Arry turn it over to BBC1..............I was as skinny as a bean pole in them days !! LOL No remotes then !!

Like all remotes,they can be opened up and the rubber keyboard and the main board cleaned with alcohol.

Usually this fixes the problem..

thanks all for your replies and offers of help - I will try as above or get him indorrs to do it then if it messes it up more he can get them blame - I will let you know if it works. cheers everyone -!!
