An elderly T.C. friend of mine, who is over from London, tried to use some of her old bank notes today as she hadn't realised they were no longer legal tender. She was upset when they were refused. Can anyone let me know if it is now too late for her to get them changed at the bank in Lefkosa. I seem to recall there was a time limit but I couldn't remember when or if it has passed.thanks.

I emptied some KAR boxes about 10 days ago and asked at CreditWest about changing the old notes and coins. They said the only bank that would change old currency was at the Central Bank in Lefkosa.

Thanks for that puppylover I will tell her that. I hope she can still do it as it is a fair amount for a pensioner to lose.
